About CoAST India

Collaboration/COVID Action Support Group (CoAST India) is a consortium of organizations who have joined hands to map and synergise information on resources, relief services and available infrastructure to coordinate relief and rehabilitation measures during and after the national lockdown for India's migrant workers and other vulnerable population.

The GIS enabled dashboard aims to help administrators, civil society organisations and volunteers in planning urgent steps to get the stranded migrant population to safety and care. It does this by providing a repository of migrants' data and requirements linked to the relevant service providers. It also visualizes facilities like schools and hospitals along the road networks, relief camps, quarantine centers and healthcare services. The database is being updated with a directory of service providers such as individuals, government officials, public facilities and NGOs/CSOs working in all parts of India.

Data available on the platform has been collated from various government departments, NGOs and various helpline numbers. It is also being crowdsourced on the website itself and constantly being updated. We are also collating requests for help received by different organizations in one place, standardizing the information and making it available in formats that give required information readily to officials and relief organisations.

It is an open source, public dashboard that is being constantly upgraded with relevant information. Please visit this page to view updated information.
